The Bellwether Hotel

We love the Bellweather!!! It’s so cute, very art-deco but a modern twist. Beds are super comfortable! Despite being a “self serve” hotel, there is a rapid response when I text with a question. This was our first time bringing our dog (first floor rooms allow dogs) and there was a lovely dog bed, bowl, poo bags and wipes for Evie - just in case! My husband and I both highly recommend The Bellwether- excellent location too!!!

We spent our Valentines weekend here and loved this boutique hotel. The room was very unique and perfect for our getaway. We really loved that the French bistro M Peppers is in the same building where we had a fabulous dinner. Location was perfect in an older district. Self check in was very easy and Communication from the staff was great. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Hands down the cutest hotel but 'not hotel I've ever stayed in!!! I love that I had a key code for access to the main door and my room door. I loved how each room had their own style. The lounge was super cute and great to have ice and water on site. I truly did enjoy my night in room 104!!

Beautiful and surprisingly quiet given the location and concrete floors. Loved the pink selfie phone booth, the very deep bathtub, the robe, the coffee and tea, ceramic mugs, and the sound machine. It was quite cold when we visited but the room was perfectly warm. The location allows you to walk everywhere. If I were to note one thing that would make it even better, it would be to have something softer to sink into, as the chairs and bed are quite firm and the floors are covered with a thin rug. Also, if a light sleeper, recommend a sleep mask as the window covering filters rather than blocks light. Overall, we absolutely loved it and will be back!

We loved our stay at The Bellwether. We were in town visiting our son at Bellarmine University. The hotel is a unique boutique hotel close to all of the restaurants, shops, and bars on Bardstown! The finishes in the room were very nice too. We’ll be back for sure!

The hotel is beautifully designed and clean. The cost was not over priced and classy. Loved all the amenities it offered, the tv (had prime video, you tube, Netflix etc), the retro radio, and the sound machine for sleeping, plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hair dryer, microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, and books to read about local attractions. The bed was very comfortable. Restaurants, salons, bars, stores, fast food all within walking distance. Thank you to the owners for remodeling something old and historic into a spectacular stay for others to enjoy. We will be back!!!

My family of eight were in Louisville for some Christmas fun. My wife found the Bellwether Hotel online and I booked us the Penthouse Suite. It was perfect. It had four bedrooms two bathrooms, a large kitchen/living room, an entrance through a beautiful lobby/sitting area, and another private entrance and exit down a nice stairwell onto the sidewalk. It was also super clean. Parking was first come first serve street parking which was a little competitive but a local business owner said there was a large parking lot around the corner behind Skyline Chili which would have been our fallback plan. We were all very satisfied with our stay. When we are in town, we will definitely stay here again. Chris, Crystal and Family

This is an adorable hotel! The decor was super cute. The fact that it didn't have a front desk was no issue at all as the check-in was seamless. Shower pressure wasn't fabulous but other than that it was perfect. The hotel was a wonderful location that was walking distance to many great shops and restaurants. We will definitely stay there again!
